Our Oxford Idyll
Life has settled down into a very lazy routine. Boak spends the morning reading for about 4 hours (work-related, so he’s easing himself back in). Then we hop in the car and explore the beautiful Cotswolds – usually eating a hot lunch at one of the historic old pubs.
Of course we had to make a return visit to “The Trout” at Wolvercote, seen in so many Morse episodes, and one of our favourite Oxford pubs. It also has an “Alice in Wonderland” connection – the little picnic party disembarked nearby and enjoyed their afternoon tea by the river.

Chipping Campden was another place I wanted to revisit (nothing at all to do with the fact that there was a fabric shop there) and we ate at the Bantam Tea Rooms.

The days are short, though, and by four o’clock it’s almost dark – and very cold!
This was the beautiful full moon rising over the Cotswolds at 4.30pm.
