Sunny treats us to a Korean barbecue
As the time for us to leave approaches very quickly, I realise I'm really going to miss our children. They're adults, and easily able to look after themselves. But this time will be the longest we've ever been apart.
So family times together this week are creating memories that I will treasure while we're away.
Last night Sunny, Ben's Korean girlfriend, took us to a restaurant serving Korean barbecue cuisine - a novelty for us. You order the raw meat, then cook it over a recessed barbecue in the centre of the dining table. Sunny expertly led the way, and the meat was melt-in-the-mouth delicious - unlike any meat we'd ever tasted in Australia. It was Wagyu beef, specially bred for the Asian export market. Great fun!
